Canadian Permaculture Legacy (Part 2)

Monoculture production has been the norm for centuries, and now scientists understand the reason nutrition has been lowered systematically over many decades, even centuries. Tilling every year or even more often has exposed the soil beneath where the plants will go, killing the precious microbes that nourish all plant life there. Each season these microbes have become fewer and fewer, so the plants we have been eating have supported our health less and less until the soil depletes completely and turns rock hard or simply blows away. Until that happens, we eat the annual crops with less and less nutrition over time.

The Canadian Permaculture Legacy channel was created by and nurtured by an engineer, so the knowledge is there and presented to everyone understandably. It is full of reasons to do things and suggestions are made that everyone can understand. Take advantage of it! You will be healthier for taking the time to see this rich library of videos offered free to the public. It doesn’t get any nicer than that!
