Frequently asked questions
Do I need experience?
None. We teach everything on-site. Show up willing to learn.
How long are work days?
Typically 4 hours. Come for all or part. Any time helps.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! School-aged kids can participate with supervision. Younger kids can watch and learn.
What if I have physical limitations?
We have tasks for all ability levels: planting, watering, organizing supplies, photography, and so on. Let us know what works for you.
Is this a one-time thing or ongoing?
Whatever fits your life. Some volunteers come once, some come quarterly. All contributions matter.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Helpful but not required. Sign up so we can plan, but walk-ins are welcome.
Can't volunteer?
Not everyone has the time, energy, or proximity to volunteer, and that's okay. You can still be part of what we're building.
Give what you can:
Money (Every dollar goes directly into the ground and moving the mission forward.)
Site supplies (such as plants, irrigation supplies, wheelbarrows, shovels)
Organizational needs (like long-lasting food forest signage, durable plant labels, marketing materials)
